SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct appraisals and damage assessments in compliance with FEMA's Public Assistance Program guidelines.
  • Review and evaluate property values and loss estimates to support disaster recovery funding efforts.
  • Collaborate with Public Assistance teams to ensure accurate reporting of damages and eligibility determinations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed appraisal reports and documentation for transparency and compliance.
  • Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal and other tools to upload, manage, and track project-related information.
  • Stay current with FEMA's policies and standards, including IS-1000, IS-1001, and IS-1002 course content.
  • Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders, including clients, government representatives, and recovery teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 5 years of relevant experience or 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Completion of FEMA courses Preferred:
    • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
    • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
    • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using online systems such as FEMA's Grants Portal and other related software tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
