SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

‬‬‬Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for disaster recovery projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to FEMA guidelines.
  • Evaluate project scope, materials, labor, and equipment requirements to provide comprehensive cost assessments.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure budgets align with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize FEMA’s Grants Portal to document and manage project cost estimates with transparency.
  • Review and analyze project data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure financial compliance.
  • Provide technical input for determination memorandums and appeals related to project costs.
  • Stay updated with FEMA training requirements, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field with 5 years of experience in a related field or
    • 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
    • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
    • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
    • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
    • IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
    • IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
    • 7116: Program Delivery Manager
    • 7117: Site Inspection
  • Strong proficiency in cost estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and cost standards.
  • Work onsite in North Carolina.
  • EOD Required.
