Location

Remote, with potential nationwide travel and disaster deployment responsibilities. Relocation to Washington, D.C., may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as subject matter expert of a specific consulting assignments, to include supporting a team of other subject matter experts.
  • Applies practical experience and theoretical knowledge and expertise to solution development. Ensures the accomplishment of project activities and objectives.
  • Provides a broad range of consulting services, including program planning, strategy development, program execution, evaluation, and policy development.
  • Utilizes experience and expertise to contribute to the development of deliverables.
  • Leads or assists in discussions and meetings with the client or project team.
  • Performs a variety of tasks that require both practical and experience and theoretical, state-of-the-art, technical knowledge in specialty areas.
  • Conducts thorough assessments and evaluations to identify client challenges and opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent certifications and experience.
  • 5+ years of emergency management, acquisition and grants management, disaster recovery, business process improvement, finance, and/or economics experience.
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and varieties of stakeholder audiences.
  • A documented work history demonstrating success at increasing levels of responsibility, project complexity in the areas of disaster response and recovery planning and managing contracts.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing or contributing to projects, preferably with experience in consulting or advisory roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with Chambers of Commerce financial institutions, lending agencies, non-profit groups, and government agencies.
  • Experience developing policies, plans, and procedures for federal government agencies or organizations of comparable size and score (nationwide operations).
  • Experience leading strategic planning sessions, workshops, and meetings for cross functional teams.

  • Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert recommendations and insights to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure excellence on managed projects and maintain client satisfaction, spotting and correcting issues before they impact project timelines.
