Location

Remote, with potential nationwide travel and disaster deployment responsibilities. Relocation to Washington, D.C., may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight and management to overall contract operations often involving multiple projects/tasks and groups of personnel at multiple locations.
  • Maintains and manages relationships with senior level management within the client organization.
  • Ensures quality standards and work performance on all task orders and projects.
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees work efforts; assigns resources; manages personnel; and monitors overall project and contract performance.
  • Directs and conducts facilitation and related decision support services for agencies, working groups, and teams.
  • Utilizes standard project management practices and methodology to reliably produce expected contract outcomes.
  • Monitors and identifies threats to contracts and programs and assists in developing remedial actions.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and client-facing service delivery support as required.
  • Develops and maintains detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Ensures adherence to project budgets and monitors financial performance.
  • Facilitates communication between project stakeholders and ensures alignment with project goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent certifications and experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • 10+ years’ project management experience.
  • A documented work history demonstrating success at increasing levels of responsibility, project complexity in the areas of disaster response and recovery planning and managing contracts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM).
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge and experience with Chambers of Commerce financial institutions, lending agencies, non-profit groups, and government agencies.
  • Experience developing policies, plans, and procedures for federal government agencies or organizations of comparable size and score (nationwide operations).
  • Experience producing diversity, equity, and inclusion products and initiatives.
  • 1+ years of emergency management, acquisition and grants management, disaster recovery, business process improvement, finance, and/or economics experience.
