SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

‬‬‬Responsibilities

  • Conduct hydrological assessments, including flood risk evaluations and water resource management strategies, to support disaster recovery efforts.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and environmental specialists to design and implement effective water management solutions.
  • Perform site inspections to evaluate hydrological impacts and provide detailed analysis reports.
  • Utilize FEMA’s Grants Portal to manage project documentation and ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports and recommendations, including hydrological modeling and risk analysis.
  • Provide expert guidance on determination memorandums and appeals related to hydrological concerns.
  • Stay current with FEMA training requirements and advancements in hydrological science and technology.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in a related field and professional registration or
    • Bachelor's Degree with 15 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification:
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
    • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
    • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
    • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
    • IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
    • IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
    • 7116: Program Delivery Manager
    • 7117: Site Inspection
  • Proficiency in hydrological modeling software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of water systems, flood control, and disaster recovery engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Work onsite in North Carolina.
  • EOD Required.
