Location

Remote, with potential nationwide travel and disaster deployment responsibilities. Relocation to Washington, D.C., may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages and performs required analysis to validate or change, modify, improve and implement plans and procedures.
  • Facilitates organizational dissemination of findings and resulting recommendations using appropriate techniques.
  • Facilitates group briefings and discussions to enable the development of plans and other decisions.
  • Maintain collaborative team member contact information, track tasks/actions, and coordinate preparation, execution, and after-action notes for collaborative sessions (leader meetings, work groups, updates).
  • Conducts research and analysis to support deliverables preparation.
  • Assists with and facilitates work groups throughout the project.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of emergency management, acquisition and grants management, disaster recovery, business process improvement, finance, and/or economics experience.
  • Documented understanding of the planning process, emergency management exercise programs and principles.
  • Documented understanding of emergency management response and recovery programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent certifications and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Chambers of Commerce financial institutions, lending agencies, non-profit groups, and government agencies.
  • Experience developing policies, plans, and procedures for federal government agencies or organizations of comparable size and score (nationwide operations).
  • Experience leading strategic planning sessions, workshops, and meetings for cross functional teams.
  • County-level or higher emergency management experience preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Master Exercise Practitioners (MEP), certified Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) professionals, Cultural Diversity Professionals (CDP), Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) trained personnel, Business Continuity Professionals (BCP), Project Management Professionals (PMP), and/or Community Outreach and Engagement Specialists.
